Star Price is a documentary filmmaker who has built a reputation for pursuing a strong creative vision that motivates a team, builds confidence with networks, and results in smart television that rewards viewers. He has produced both award-winning comedy and dramatic projects, creating hit shows in literally all genres of non-fiction filmmaking.
As an Executive Producer/Showrunner/Director he is known for the Emmy-Nominated Showtime series Active Shooter: America Under Fire, the Emmy-winning CNN series United Shades of America, the Amazon doc series Inside Jokes, and the recent ABC hit series The Con.
Through his own company he has created, produced and directed a number of successful award-winning series, including the eight-year hit Penn & Teller: Bullshit! on Showtime, the feature documentary In Pot We Trust, and the recent Hulu six-hour documentary series City of Angels, City of Death.
He has been nominated for eleven Emmy awards, four WGA awards, a DGA award, a TCA award, an IDA award, and a NAACP award. He’s most proud of his July 2020 Starbucks Customer of the Month award (because that one he won).
